Pearl River Central Junior High Cheerleaders, Shelby Champagne and Katy Miley were chosen as UCA All-Stars. They attended cheer champ this past summer at Southeastern college.

As All-Stars they will travel to Houston the week of Thanksgiving. During their trip they will attend many get-togethers with other All-Stars from around the United State. There trip will start with a Mexican feast, and a visit to NASA’s incredible manned space flight program, were they will visit the Space Plaza and the Density Theatre. A visit to Houston’s Galleria for shopping is planned, starting the night with Christmas caroling, and ending the night with a down-home Texas BBQ.

On Thanksgiving Day the All-Stars will perform in the Houston Thanksgiving Day parade. This holiday spectacle is anticipated by families everywhere. Scores of floats — large than life — balloons, marching bands and performances from some of the best talents around will be featured. Rapping up this event will be the lighting of the courtyard and a grandstand fireworks display.

Shelby is the daughter of Brian and Rachel Champagne of Carriere, and Katy is the daughter of Glen and Peggy Miley also of Carriere.
