Poplarville pulled out an exciting 40-38 win over St. Stanislaus on the road Friday night to wrap up a first round home playoff game.

The Hornets got a late touchdown from Justin Raine to pull out the high-scoring affair, and will now host Petal on Friday night in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs.

Also, on the same night, Picayune will host West Jones. It will mark the first time in over a decade that two Pearl River County teams will host playoff games on the same night.

Elsewhere, Pearl River Central ended its season on a high note with a 28-7 win over Bay High and Hancock fell to Biloxi 39-0.

Picayune was off Friday night.
