Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Sierra Madre (Calif.) Congregational Church., for John Lewis Lozes, 55, of Pasadena, Calif., who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006.

Arrangements are under the direction of Avalon Pasadena Funeral Home.

A native of New Orleans, he was a graduate of the University of Iowa and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England, was director of recreation director for Royal Oaks Nursing Home, a professional musician and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Lozes of Pasadena, and two brothers, Charles Lozes and Martin Lozes, both of New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Southern California Lyric Theater, Sierra Madre Playhouse or your favorite charity.
