James and Mary Fleming went to Kumming China Yunnan Province ten years ago to adopt their daughter, Emily. They had an interesting trip at that time and made many friends along the way.

This summer, James and Mary decided that now was the time to return to China to show Emily her birth home and to explore this fascinating land in greater depth. Their exchange student from Hong Kong, Kitty, went with them to visit her family, translate for the Flemings and explain the Chinese customs. They were gone for three weeks.

They had a wonderful journey filled with interesting people and unusual happenings. There will be stories of Yunnan Province, Hong Kong, Kumming, Lijiang, Dali, The Forbidden City, Tentiamen Square and the Great Wall of China.

They will talk about the changes that have occurred during the past 10 years, the food they ate, the interesting customs they learned about, the wonderful walled gardens they viewed and the industriousness of the Chinese people who work so hard.

They brought back beautiful object, had wonderful dining, took great pictures and had unforgettable experiences. They now have a better understanding of the role China will be playing in the twenty-first century.
