Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Ernest (Ernie) Weaver, 76, of Carriere, who died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in Picayune.

The Rev. Father Michael Snyder officiates at the service. Burial is in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of New Orleans, he was a petroleum engineer and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Weaver of West Union Community; two daughters, Wanda Lee of Caesar Community and Winifred Weaver of Fort Meyers, Fla.; four sons, Warren Weaver of Houston, Texas, Wayne Weaver of Pensacola, Fla., Pat Weaver of Picayune and Wesley Weaver of Alabaster, Ala.; a sister, Evelyn Stagni of Gretna, La; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Ann Weaver Graham.

Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the church.
