CWC reports Christmas parade slots filling fast

With the recent growth of the Picayune area, this year’s Christmas Parade may have more entries than we can accommodate. “Slots are filling fast, so all interested parties should quickly turn in their entry forms with fee to ensure a position,” said Darlene Adams, Parade Chairman.

If you are interested in participating in this year’s parade, you must fill out an entry form and return to Darlene Adams, Parade Chairman, P.O. Box 1481, Picayune, MS, 39466. Entry packet with rules may be picked up at the Picayune Chamber of Commerce, MeLinda’s Fine Gifts and More, and Handy Cleaners. Parade entries are limited to 75 units. “This is to comply with the Picayune Police Department’s request,” said Adams.

Once again the GFWC-MFWC Civic Woman’s Club of Picayune will host the city’s annual Christmas Parade on December 4, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. The parade will follow the usual route and larger crowds are expected. All proceeds sponsor the civic group’s community projects.
