Lady Tide wins again

Picayune blasted South Jones 17-0 in five innings Thursday night in prep slow pitch softball action.

The Lady Tide is now 15-7 on the season and 4-1 in Division 8-4A play.

Seniors Kellye Bolar, Sarah Trexler and Kasey Mitchell were recognized before the game for the time and effort they have put into the success of Lady Tide Softball.

The Tide scored three in the first taking advantage of three walks and an error. They tacked on five in the 2nd. Kayla Bounds walked, Mitchell singled and Mallorie Mixon loaded the bags as she reached on an error.

Sarah Trexler singled to score two runs and was followed by Autumn Jackson who hit a two run home run.

In the third, Kellye Bolar drew a walk to score Bounds. Sarah Trexler doubled to score Mitchell and Mixon. Autumn Jackson walked and was followed by a Wills hit to score Bolar. Hillary Dickens, Katie Kent, Bounds and Mitchell all singled to score Trexler, Jackson and Wills.

The Tide tacked on the final run when pinch hitter Taylor Seals hit a sac fly to score Trexler.
