Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at White Funeral Home in Poplarville for Joe L. Powers, 78, of Purvis, who died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Bro. Jeffrey Jones officiates at the service. Burial is in Lee Cemetery, No. 1, in Poplarville, under the direction of White Funeral Home.

He was a retired International Paper Co. millwright and a member of Sunny Hill Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a sister, Jean Powers Raines of Purvis.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.
