Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at New Palestine Cemetery for Richard Purcell Stockstill, 74, of Picayune, who died Wednesday, June 28, 2006.

The Rev. Dan Young officiated at the service. Burial was in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, he was a draftsman and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sisters, Gloria Gjertsen of Picayune and Mary Lozes of West Point, and a brother, J.C. Stockstill of Picayune.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Heart Assoc..
