Bianco shaking up staff
Mississippi has hired Rob Reinstetle and Kyle Bunn as assistant coaches and named administrative assistant Carl Lafferty a volunteer coach, head coach Mike Bianco said Thursday.
Reinstetle — the Rebels’ recruiting coordinator, infield and hitting coach — replaces Dan McDonnell, who earlier this week was named head coach at Louisville.
Reinstetle was the recruiting coordinator and infield and hitting coach at South Alabama this season and also has coached at the College of Charleston.
Bunn replaces Stuart Lake, who resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities after three seasons as the Rebels’ hitting coach. Bunn was Ole Miss’ volunteer pitching coach for the past five seasons.
Lafferty moves into Bunn’s former position. A former Ole Miss player from 1998-2001, Lafferty was the team’s administrative assistant for the past two seasons.
The hirings of Reinstetle and Bunn are pending approval by the state College Board.
