PRC District 2 Supervisor run-off Tuesday

The Pearl River County District 2 Supervisor general run-off election will take place this Tuesday, Nov. 25.
On Nov. 4, Malcolm Perry received 27.52 percent of the vote and James Ernie Clark received 22.21 percent of the vote.
The precincts included in the run off are Mill Creek, Poplarville Beat 2, Oak Hill, Buck Branch, Ford’s Creek, Byrd Line, Picayune Beat 2, Henleyfield and Whitesand Beat 2.
The final day to cast absentee ballots for the upcoming general election is noon today, Circuit Clerk Vickie Hariel said in a release.
The Circuit Clerk’s office in Picayune’s Chimney Square and Poplarville Courthouse will be open today from 8 a.m. to noon.
Hariel would like to remind everyone that curbside voting will be provided on election day at all polling places for voters in need of that assistance.
