Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department responded to another church burglary last week.

Chief Deputy Shane Tucker said deputies responded to a call at 8:20 a.m. from Pine Grove Baptist Church on 35 Pine Grove Rd. on Friday.

Tucker said similar to the other burglaries, the doors of the church had been pried open and the church offices had been rummaged through.

An undetermined amount of currency was stolen from the church, Tucker said.

Last week Picayune Church of God and First Baptist Church of Carriere were also broken into and undetermined amount of money was stolen.

All three church burglaries are under investigation, Tucker said.
