Law Enforcement Agencies Conduct Countywide Narcotics Roundup

In a coordinated effort to combat illegal drug activity, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Poplarville Police Department, Picayune Police Department, Homeland Security, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, conducted an early morning narcotics roundup on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Law enforcement agencies spent the past several months gathering evidence on individuals involved in the distribution and possession of illegal narcotics in Pearl River County. The operation began around 6 a.m., with multiple teams dispatched to various residences across the county, including Poplarville, Picayune, and Carriere locations.
Arrests and Charges
The following individuals were arrested and charged:

- Ryna Bennett (62), Picayune, MS – Possession of Controlled Substance
- Michelle Bennett (41), Carriere, MS – Conspiracy to Transfer a Controlled Substance
- Alena Sones (39), Poplarville, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance
- Shaun Levasseur (45), Carriere, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Vanessa Blankenship (18), Carriere, MS – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- John Weber (30), Carriere, MS – Transfer of a Controlled Substance
- Contina Pittman (52), Picayune, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance
- Yance Agent (49), Carriere, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance (4 counts)
- Phillip Dussett (63), Picayune, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance
- Kayla Penton (34), Carriere, MS – Transfer of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
- Lutricia Pittman (45), Poplarville, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

- Derrion Pittman (37), Picayune, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance
- Quinton Thomas (32), Picayune, MS – Disorderly Conduct

- Conner Dallas Baker (28), Carriere, MS – Sale of a Controlled Substance
Law Enforcement Response
Sheriff David Allison expressed his appreciation to all agencies and personnel involved in the operation, including the Pearl River County Jail and Transport Staff, the Pearl River County Dispatch Center, and supporting law enforcement agencies.
“Working together to remove drugs from our communities is critical to ensuring public safety,” said Sheriff Allison. “This operation highlights the dedication and commitment of all agencies involved in making Pearl River County a safer place.”
Chief Chad Dorn expressed his gratitude to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics for their dedication and teamwork in this operation.
“Drug-related crimes affect every community, and the Poplarville Police Department remains committed to ongoing investigative efforts to remove illegal narcotics from our streets. These arrests represent a significant step in making our community safer,” said Chief Dorn.

Authorities urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of the individuals still at large to contact local law enforcement immediately.
