Rodney Gordon Hubbard

Funeral Services for Rodney Gordon Hubbard, age 83, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, will be held Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of McNeill.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of McNeill.

Burial will be in McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Jerry Hubbard will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Blake Anderson.

A native of Cawood, Ky., he was a Communications Technician with the United States Air Force and worked in Intelligence for the United States Government.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Basil Hubbard and Ruby Lenora Taylor Hawthorne; his brothers, Joel K. Hubbard, Hugh D. Hubbard, and John Wesley Hawthorne, and his sister, Mary Hawthorne.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Ann Whatley Hubbard; his son, Rodney (Alejandra) Gordon Hubbard Jr.; his three grandchildren, Dylan, Miranda, and Austin Hubbard; his one great-granddaughter, Naomi Hubbard; his brothers, Stanley (Shonnie) D. Hubbard, Jerry (Sue) Hubbard, and Royce (Annette) Hawthorne; his sisters, Johnnie Lou Lumpkin, Wynette O’Neal, Kayla (Mark) Hubbard Brown, and his sister-in-law, Mitzi Hubbard.
