Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ. The Visitation will be one hour prior. Pastor Elder David Simmons will officiate at service.
David was born Oct. 6, 1938 to Johnnie and Louberta Black Williams in McNair, Miss. on Oct. 6, 1938.
He was a faithful member of Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder David Simmon until his health declined.
He was a gentle giant, family man and known to the neighborhood as “Paw Paw.”
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, God sent his angels to bring a beautiful soul home to rest in Slidell, La. at the age of 86.
To cherish his memories daughter, Delinda Martin Smith (Dennis); two sons, Danny Martin and David McGlory; brother, Arthur Williams (Lula Mary); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
