Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers offers $10,000 reward for information regarding road rage killing

Friday, Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers announced it is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the shooting death of a Gulfport resident in May.

The victim, Brandon Box, was killed in a road rage incident on I-10 at the 51-mile marker in Jackson County at approximately 4:30 p.m. on May 25, 2020

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers asks anyone who witnessed a road rage incident involving a white 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 pulling a utility trailer and a white SUV driven by a black female to contact Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers with any information. The incident took place between the 68-mile marker in the Moss Point, Mississippi, area and the 51-mile marker in the Ocean Springs, Mississippi, area on westbound interstate I-10.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a small white SUV with a Louisiana tag. Law enforcement has not confirmed that the suspect vehicle came into Mississippi from Alabama.

At the time of the incident, the suspect vehicle is believed to have been driven by a black female with a black male in the passenger seat and there was an unknown number of suspects in the back seat of the suspect vehicle.

The release states that a firecracker was thrown from the suspect vehicle into the bed of the victim’s truck at the foot of the Pascagoula bridge and a 9 mm caliber weapon was used by the unidentified suspect to shoot the victim.
