A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 59 Monday afternoon left one person with major injuries. No fatalities were reported as a result of the collision.

The collision occurred when the driver of a southbound a 2005 Toyota Highlander in the left hand lane lost control of his vehicle near mile marker 9 on I59 and collided with a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado at 4:27 p.m., said Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Dustin Moeller.

The impact to the Chevrolet Silverado caused it to impact a AAA ambulance.
The Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Highlander both rolled multiple times before both vehicles came to rest in the median, said Moeller.
