A plan to change Poplarville’s trash pickup days in April has been abandoned so trash pickup days will remain on Tuesday and Friday.

Waste Management previously requested that the waste collection days in Poplarville be changed from Tuesday and Friday to Monday and Thursday to allow more staff to assist with collection in Poplarville. The change was scheduled for April 6.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waste Management contacted the city and said they did not want to change any waste collection days, said City Clerk Jane O’Neal.
