Graveside Funeral Services for Kevin O’Neal Smith, age 54, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, were held Thursday, April 16, 2020, at New Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Bro. Bud Putnam officiated the service.

He was a lifelong native of Picayune, MS, born June 29, 1965 to Kenneth Smith and the late Helen Smith. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and visiting family and friends. His most enjoyable moments were spent with his grandson, Trey. His friends will always remember him as being helpful in times of need, the life of the party, and always there to share a smile or kind word.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Crenshaw Smith; his son, Benjamin O’Neal Smith; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Michele Linden.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Kenneth “Bogan” O’Neal Smith; his children, Mallory (Lance) Linden and Lauren (T. John) Bullock; 3 grandchildren, Trey O’Neal Linden, Anzleigh Bullock and Beau Bullock; his sister, Pam (Arrie) Godwin; his nephew, Matt Godwin; and his great-nephews, Sawyer Godwin and Spencer Godwin; and numerous cousins.
