Graveside services will be held Monday, April 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dave Monday Cemetery (Whitesand Community), Poplarville, MS. Rev. M.J. Galloway will officiate at the services.

Ida Mae Trotter was born June 23, 1934 to the late George and Georgia Trotter in Vossburg, MS in Jasper County.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a teenager. She moved to Poplarville to be with her sisters and brothers and united with the New Welcome Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend M. J. Galloway where she served as a member of Mission I.

On Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Picayune Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Ida made her transition from earth into her eternal home at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Georgia Trotter; five brothers, James, Jethro, Henry, H.C. and Joel; four sisters, Elvira McDonald, Rena Johnson, Catherine Edmonds, and Mattie Fowler.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children, three daughters, Bobbie Smith, Mary Wiley and Sabrina Trotter; two sons, Frank (fiance’ Tina) Trotter and Dennis Trotter; three brothers, Rev. Jeremiah Trotter, Nehemiah Trotter and Sylvester Trotter; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a special great-niece, China Doll; two special friends, Marilyn and Shirlyn Houston; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In order to stay within the guidelines of COVID-19, the services will be live on Facebook (www.facebook.com viewhomegoingnow). The limit of attendees is 10 people.
