Within Pearl River County, 27 cases have been reported. No deaths from the virus have been reported in cases entailing Pearl River County residents.
Other counties with double digit cases include, Attala with 10, Bolivar with 16, Chickasaw with 12, Coahoma with 20, DeSoto with 77, Forrest with 21, Hancock with 15, Harrison with 44, Hinds with 74, Holmes with 14, Jackson with 39, Lafayette with 14, Lauderdale with 23, Lee with 23, Leflore with 18, Lowendes with 10, Madison with 38, Marshall with 13, Okibbeha with 15, Pike with 16, Rankin with 37, Sunflower with 11, Tate with 11, Tippah with 23, Tunica with 12, Washington with 18 and Wilkinson with 13.
Counties reporting fatalities due to the virus include Amite (1), Desoto (1), Hancock (1), Harrison (1), Holmes (1), Lee (1), Leflore (1), Perry (1), Rankin (1), Sunflower (1), Tippah (2), Tunica (1), Webster (1) and Wilkinson (2),
According to MSDH, 67 percent of the cases needed hospitalization, 57 percent of the cases are in female residents and 43 percent of the total cases were in male residents.
Of the total cases that ended in death, 2 were in patients aged 40-49, four were in patients aged 60-69 and the remaining 10 were in patients aged 70 or older.
