Sheriff’s Department joins Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers, reward offered for Rebecca Reid’s whereabouts

Pearl River County’s Sheriff’s Department has joined the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers, who are now offering a $2,500 reward for information concerning the location of a disabled woman who has been missing since late January.
Maj. Marc Ogden said that the change means a total of seven counties in Mississippi have become part of the organization.
According to a release from Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers, Jackson, Harrison, Hancock, George, Stone and Greene counties are also part of the organization’s coverage area.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for tips relating to the case of Rebecca Reid, who has been missing from her home since Jan. 24 of this year.
Ogden said Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads law enforcement personnel to Reid’s location.
According to previous coverage, Reid was last seen near her home, located in the 200 block of Leetown Rd., Lumberton.
Witnesses in the area reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area at about 5 p.m. that day, described as a white Chevrolet Trailblazer.
According to a silver alert issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, “family members say Rebecca Lee Reid suffers from a medical condition that may impair her judgment.”
She is described as a white female standing five feet, seven inches tall, weighing 325 pounds with black/purple hair and having brown eyes, the MBI silver alert stated.

According to the release from Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers, tips can also be submitted via an app, called P3 tips, or via the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers website, located at mscoastcrimestoppers.com.
