Funeral Services for Claudie Mae Jarrell, age 81, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, will be held Monday, February 3, 2020, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2020 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Toby Pittman will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a retired bus driver for Pearl River County Schools. Claudie was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. In her earlier days, she enjoyed camping, fishing, cake decorating, sewing, crafts, and helping others. Claudie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dumas Mitchell and Callie Lindsey Mitchell; her loving and devoted husband, Hugo Leo “Sonny” Jarrell; her son, Hugo Leo Jarrell II; her sister and brothers, Rebbie Smith, Lamont Mitchell, and Cleo Mitchell.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted children, Earline (David) Strahan, Ollie (John) Mason, and Linda (Ray) Campbell; 4 grandchildren, Vanessa, Jonathan, Dillon, and Kyle; 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Virginia Roberts and Tillie Cuevas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
