Graveside Funeral Services for Julia E. Messer, age 92, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020, will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 11:00 am at New Palestine Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. R.T. Buckley will officiate the service.

A native of Bay Springs, MS, she was a retired medical secretary and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. Julia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Hosey and Gadys Scoggin Hosey; her loving husband, Henry Ross Messer; her son, William Frederick Messer; and her brother, Victor Hosey.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Ann Messer; her granddaughters, Julie (Matt) Hebert, Rebecca (Andy) Estain, Amy (Thomas Gros) Messer, and Emily (Brian Norris) Messer; 8 great-grandchildren, Emma Nolting, Mikey Strain III, Payton Estain, Ellie Nolting, Hunter Estain, Macie Hebert, Matthew Hebert, and Brian Norris, Jr.; her brother, Tom Hosey; and several nieces and nephews.
