Myrtis Marie Carlan of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at the age of 75.

Myrtis was a long-time resident of Picayune and a member of First Baptist Church of Ozona. She loved serving the Lord and enjoyed being a Pastor’s wife, Sunday school teacher, and a church Pianist. 

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Wilton “Randy” Carlan, Jr.; two sons, Wayne Carlan and Philip Carlan; daughters-in-law, Melissa Carlan and Jennifer Carlan; four grandchildren, Josh Carlan “married to Bethany”, Alex Carlan “married to Kaylee”, Courtney Valentine “married to Matt”, and Megan Carlan; and one great-grandchild, Henry Carlan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pearlie Anderson; three brothers, Ferris, Olan, and Kenneth; and three sisters, Ethel, Nadine, and Estelle.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2019, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., held at Picayune Funeral Home. Service will proceed at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
