Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Green Grove Baptist Church at noon. Pastor Joey L. Mark will officiate at the service.

Willie Lee Magee was born on September 23, 1962, one of five children from the union of Annie Magee and the late Deacon Jimmie Magee.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He lived most of his life as a resident of Poplarville. Willie loved the game of basketball, and played throughout high school, as well as during his time at Pearl River Community College. His passions included fishing, cooking for his family and friends, and enjoying coastal amenities. In 1979, Willie was gainfully employed by Wallace C. Drennan Inc. Construction Company, where he remained for 34 years.

In 1989, Willie met the love of his life, Regina Hart Magee. He enjoyed his roles as husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a true entertainer.

Willie ended his earthly journey on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Pearl River County Hospital, Poplarville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Magee.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife,  Regina Hart; his caring  mother, Annie Lee Magee;  two sons, Kenneth (Crystal) Hart and Charles Hart (both of Tucson, AZ); two daughters, Vivian Henry of Georgia and Annie (Gino) Irvin of Slidell, LA;  two brothers, Michael (Annette) Magee and Donald (Adriane) Magee, both of Poplarville; two sisters, Lisa (Quico) Ruiz of Poplarville, and Kim (Bobbie) Washington of Alaska;  24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Interment will be in the Rose Park Cemetery.
