Two men being sought by Sheriff’s Department in relation to attempted residential burglary

Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department are looking for two men who are believed to have been involved in an attempted burglary that was thwarted by the homeowners.

Chief Investigator Marc Ogden said the suspects are described as being male, with a small build standing 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 10 inches tall. Both men were wearing masks, so additional details about their descriptions are unavailable, but the victim believes they are white. The victim reported seeing the suspects flee the area in an older model Chevrolet pickup truck that is believed to be red or maroon in color.

Ogden said the incident was called in Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning at about midnight. Deputies responded to the home located on Wayne Pardue Road and spoke with the victim, who said that the suspects attempted to force their way into the home through he back door. A brief struggle ensued between the victim and suspects before the suspects fled the area in the pickup.

Ogden said the residents of the home were not injured and nothing was taken during the incident. No weapons were reported to have been involved in this incident.
