Funeral Services for Sharon Ann Jones, age 73, of Carriere, MS, who went to her eternal home, Tuesday, October 8, 2019, will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 11:00 am at West Union Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Union Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service, assisted by Rev. Sheila Cumbest.

Sharon was a graduate of Pearl River Central High School. She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Pearl River Community College; and graduated from University of Mississippi with two separate degrees, Home Economic/Science and Elementary Education. Sharon taught in both Poplarville Jr. High School and Pearl River County Elementary School for a total of 27 years. She truly loved teaching and received much satisfaction in helping and challenging her young students.

Sharon was my God-Given Help-Mate; the love of my life; my soul-mate. She will be greatly missed, but by the grace of God, we will be together again and the circle will be unbroken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph W Rayburn and Vestal Davis Rayburn; her son, John Charles Jones; her grandparents, John and Litha Stockstill Davis; and her aunt and uncle, Johnnie Merle Davis Dubussion and Olease Dubussion.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Michael Wayne Jones; her close cousins, Rick and Connie Sable; and several other cousins.
