Carol Ray “Jimmy” Ball

Carol Ray “Jimmy” Ball, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the age of 71.

“Jimmy” was born in New Orleans and lived in Carriere since he was a child. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere and a retired carpenter. He loved being outdoors with his dogs and sometimes drove them around on his tractor. He was a self-taught musician and loved to play the guitar.

He is survived by his son, Jason R. Ball (Judy); two daughters, Chanda Ball Baker and Grace Ball Kelly (Pat); one brother Nicholas A. Ball; sister, Carolyn Ball Hall (Mike); grandchildren, Chase, Lauren, Preston, Jessica, Alissa, Mia, and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Noah, Mason, Maleigha; one niece, Stacie (Ken); one great-niece, Emma; and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank James Ball and Marie Defiore Ball; and one grandchild, CheyAnne Baker.

A private burial will be held at First Baptist Church of Carriere cemetery at a later date.
