A Lumberton man was sentenced to 189 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in federal court Tuesday, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The release states that Geroyce Dewayne Sibley, 25, sold 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine and eight firearms to a confidential informant in July and August of 2017 in Pascagoula, MS.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to the press release.

Sibley was indicted in November 2018 and pled guilty before Senior U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett on April 24, 2019, according to the press release.

Sibley’s prison time will be followed by five years of supervised release and he has been ordered to pay a $5,000 fine, the release states.
