Official primary election results released Wednesday

Official Election results for the Pearl River County Democratic and Republican Primaries were released Wednesday.

In the race for state Senate District 40, Thomas Lehr received 320 votes.

In the race for District 1 Supervisor, Donald Hart received 499 votes.

In the race for District 2 Supervisor, John Ernest Stringer received 67 votes.

Republican Primary

In the race for District 15 District Attorney, Hal Kittrell received 8,314 votes.

In the race for state Senate District 40, Angela Burks Hill received 4,529 votes.

In the race for state Senate District 44, John A. Polk received 861 votes.

In the race for state Senate District 47, Joseph M. Mike Seymour received 2,155 and C.T. Switzer received 859 votes.

In the race for state House of Representatives District 93, Timmy Ladner received 1,199 votes.

In the race for Mississippi House of Representatives District 106, Jansen Owen received 1,969, incumbent John Glen Corley received 1,371, Greg Holcomb received 699 and Ben Winston received 349 votes.

In the race for Mississippi House of Representatives District 108, Stacey Hobgood Wilkes received 3,273 votes.

In the race for Chancery Clerk, incumbent Melinda Bowman received 5,729 and Lisa Graves received 3,563 votes.

In the race for Circuit Clerk, incumbent Nance Fitzpatrick Stokes received 6,625 and Tony Bounds received 2,597 votes.

In the race for County Prosecuting Attorney, Mike Patten received 5,021 and Gerald C. Patch received 4,025 votes.

In the race for Sheriff, David Allison received 8,112 votes.

In the race for Tax Collector/Assessor, Gary Beech received 5,892 and Hannah Breland received 3,394 votes.

In the race for District 1 Supervisor, Russell Foster received 738 votes.

In the race for District 2 Supervisor Malcolm Perry received 1,469 and Ernie Clark received 1,057 votes.

In the race for District 3 Supervisor, incumbent Hudson Holliday received 1,345, Carl Ladner received 890 and Rene M. Trey Galmiche received 282 votes.

In the race for District 4 Supervisor, incumbent Farron Moeller received 659, Jason Spence received 539, Kathy Fayard Aden received 266 and Joseph Amos Nix received 29 votes.

In the race for District 5 Supervisor, Sandy Kane Smith received 1,408, Richard Lloyd Crawford received 289 and Adam Spiers received 198 votes.

In the race for South East District Justice Court Judge, Donald D. Fall received 1,616 and James L. ‘Jim’ Gray received 1,064 votes.

In the race for North District Justice Court Judge, Larry Head received 1,647, Benjamin Breland received 1,563 and George ‘Trent’ Boyd received 1,152 votes.

In the race for South West District Justice Court Judge, John Mark Mitchell received 1,827 votes.

In the race for North District Constable, Danny Joe Slade received 3,064 and Joe Garcia received 1,369 votes.

In the race for South East District Constable, Ray M. Bennett received 1,406 and Larry P. ‘Dusty’ Dillard received 1,221 votes.

In the race for South West District Constable, Jason Hunt received 1,827 votes.

Runoff Election

The Primary Runoff Election day will be August 27. The following local candidates will be on the ballot for that election.

Candidates for House of Representatives District 106 are Jansen Owen and incumbent John Glen Corley.

Candidates for District 4 Supervisor are incumbent Farron Moeller and Jason Spence.

Candidates for North District Justice Court Judge are Larry Head and Benjamin Breland.

General Election

Those candidates that won in the primary, or are running unopposed will be on the ballot for the general election on Nov. 5.

Hal Kittrell (R) is running unopposed for District 15 District Attorney.

Candidates for State Senate District 40 are Angela Burks Hill  (R) and Thomas Lehr (D).

In the race for state Senate District 44, John A. Polk (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for state Senate District 47, Joseph M. “Mike” Seymour (R) will run unopposed.

Timmy Ladner (R) is running unopposed for state House of Representatives District 93.

The Republican candidate for state House of Representatives District 106 will be determined in the runoff election, and will run unopposed in the general election.

In the race for state House of Representatives District 108, Stacey Hobgood Wilkes (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for District 4 Supervisor, the Republican candidate will be decided in the runoff election and will run unopposed in the general election.

In the race for District 5 Supervisor, Sandy Kane Smith (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for South East District Justice Court Judge, Donald D. Fail (R) is running unopposed.

Candidates for North District Justice Court Judge are candidates Max Hardberger (Ind.) and Joe Smith (Ind.), and a Republican candidate who will be decided in the runoff election.

In the race for South West District Justice Court Judge, John Mark Mitchell (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for North District Constable, Danny Joe Slade (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for South East District Constable, Ray M. Bennett (R) is running unopposed.

In the race for South West District Constable, Jason Hunt (R) is running unopposed.
