Weldon Thomas Banks

Weldon Thomas Banks, 62, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 after a longtime battle with health aliments. Weldon was born November 16, 1956 to Calvin and Ollie Banks, the sixth of eight children.

Weldon worked in the automotive accessory industry, moving to Picayune in 1987 to manage Topper World in Slidell. After years of successful operating, Weldon purchased the Slidell location, and opened a second one in Gulfport. Never really retiring but taking a step back from the business so he could enjoy spending time with his wife and grandkids. He loved to go family gatherings, bowling, watching football, and traveling.

Weldon is survived by his wife, Sheila; sons Weldon Banks II and Greg Banks I.; daughter in laws Holly and Brandi Banks; grandchildren Aubrey Banks and Greg Banks II.; brother Jason Cabot; sister, Jan Banks and Pam Vado. Weldon was preceded in death by his youngest son Terrence Banks, brother Robert Banks and sisters Elaine Gassen, Ginger Banks, Jo Alice Fitzhenry.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Picayune Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Celebration of life gathering will follow at 421 Hickorynut Rd. Building A Picayune, MS 39466.
