Funeral Services for Ruby Grace Lipscomb, age 76, of Baton Rouge, LA, who passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Kenneth Coblentz will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, and Hartville, OH, she was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Beer Industry League of Louisiana after 23 years of service. Ruby was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Joseph Coblentz and Leona Lee Coblentz; and her sisters, Alice Coblentz and Patricia Bilbrey.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving daughter, Connie (Timothy) Strain; 2 granddaughters, Meaghan (Gary) Elrod, and Lauren Strain; 2 great grandchildren, Makenzie Elrod, and Landon Strain; her sisters and brothers, Irene Blaine, Bobbie Lipscomb, Margaret Nichols, Alan Coblentz, Frances Taylor, Paul Coblentz, Diane Gilbert, Judy Fabian, Kenneth Coblentz, Keith Coblentz, and Debbie Hansen; her aunts and uncles, Bobbie (Glen) Kennedy and Jerry (Chris) Burge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
