Funeral Services for Larry Wayne Rester, age 78, of Leetown Community, MS, who passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019, will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Lee’s Chapel #2 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Jarrad Lee will officiate the service.

A native of Hancock County, MS, he served in the US Army National Guard. Larry was a retired Diesel Mechanic for Rowan Drilling, Houston, TX. He was a member of Lee’s Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing with his great grandchildren. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho Rester and Annie Megehee Rester; his son, Rodney Rester; his brothers, James Rester and Otho Rester Jr.; and his sister, Hallie McNease.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Ann Rester; his daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Savoie; his granddaughter Sarah Kellar; 3 great grandchildren, Ezekiel Gomez, Norah Mitchell, and Jonah Kellar; 3 step grandchildren, Ryan Savoie, Roy Savoie, and Ross Savoie; 2 step great grandchildren, Lexi Sartor, and Maddie Savoie; his sisters, Betty Jo (Kenneth) Seals, Jane Ann Kuhlmann, and Ouida Minarik; his sister in laws, Carolyn Lee and True (Michael) Chapman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
