Funeral Services for William Blanchard “Bill”  Powe, Sr., age 90 Years, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 1:00 pm  at New Palestine Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Dr. Josh Braddy will officiate the service, assisted by Rev. Wayne Stockstill, brother in law.

A native of Norco, LA, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a retired Mechanic and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Garrison Powe, Jr.and Mary Ellen Slaven Powe; and his brother, James H. Powe.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Jane Stockstill Powe; his children, Rebecca “Becky” Jane Powe, William “Bud” (Brenda) Blanchard Powe, Jr., Mark (Kathy) Alan Powe, Kenneth “Ken” (Donna) Laine Powe; 11 grandchildren, Stacey (Romel) Sadaiappen, Wesley Powe, Chris (Casey) Powe, Matt (Brandi) Powe, Seth (Edie) Simpson, Daniel (Krystal) Simpson, Grant (Chelsey) Shaw, Rachel (Caleb) Spiers, Stephanie (Freddie) Spiers, Jennifer (Reece) Watkins, and Alicia (Paul) Jenkins; 42 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special caregiver, Kayla Ladner.

The family wishes to show their heartfelt thank you to Solace Hospice, Poplarville, MS, for their very affectionate and caring staff. Especially Cindy, Karen, and La Rita.
