The Exchange Club of Picayune will host a poker run that will take participants from Picayune to Bay St. Louis to Gulfport to benefit the ARC of Pearl River County, said Exchange Club member Jessica Tebo.

Due to forecast inclement weather, the date of the event has been changed from June 8, to June 29.

The ARC of Pearl River County is a nonprofit that works with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Tebo said. Exchange Club is a nonprofit networking group that has donated money to the organization before, Tebo said.

Registration is $20 for a bike, $30 for a Jeep, truck or car with up to three occupants and $10 for additional riders. Registration for the ride will begin at 9 a.m. at Mutt and BC’s Bar and Grill, with the ride starting at 10 a.m., Tebo said. There are a total of seven opportunities to collect a card in an effort to build a winning poker hand of five cards. The best poker hand will earn a cash prize, Tebo said.

Those who don’t want to spend their Saturday cruising can still donate to the cause or buy a 50/50 raffle ticket from Exchange Club members at any of the stops until 4 p.m., Tebo said. People who just want to hang out at Mutt and BC’s all day can participate in a silent auction and enjoy live music in the evening, she said.

“We’re just hoping for a good turnout and no rain,” Tebo said.

The poker run will include stops at Broke Spoke in Kiln, Triple Tails in Bay St. Louis, Anita’s in Bay St. Louis, The Pour House in Gulfport and Eagle Island Daquiri in Long Beach, Tebo said.
