Willie Lewis “Doughnut” Coleman, 70, of Picayune, MS, transitioned this life after a lengthy illness, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at The Heritage Park Hospice in Roy, UT.  The son of Pearl and Jesse Johnson, Sr., he was born February 6, 1946 in Quentin, MS.

He is survived by his parents; one son, Willie Coleman, Jr. of Carriere, MS; one brother,  Jesse (Gaynell) Johnson, Jr. of Pass Christian, MS;  three sisters,  Barbara (Dan) Harris of Mobile, AL, Janice Johnson of Sunset, UT and Glory (Calvin) Stanton of Clinton, UT; one godsister, Ann (Eddie) Myers of Picayune; three grandsons, Zedrick, Destin and Bryson Coleman; two granddaughters, Zamora and Shakiya Coleman both  of Carriere; five nieces, five nephews, five grandnieces, five grandnephews and a host of endearing cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Syrynthia Coleman; maternal grandparents, Syrynthia Rancifer-Lee, Felix and Louollie Lee; paternal grandparents, Ellis and Clara Johnson.

Willie was a 1968 graduate of G.W. Carver High School in Picayune, MS.  He continued his pursuit of higher education with a major in sociology at Rust College in Holly Springs, MS.  Willie also became a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity while attending Rust College.

Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, also at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Reverend Louis Thomas will be officiating.  The interment will be at the Picayune Cemetery.
