Funeral Services for Lynda Humphries Brown, age 69, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019, will be held Monday, May 6, 2019, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Carriere.

Visitation will be Monday, May 6, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Carriere.  Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Ray Taylor will officiate the service.

A native of Carriere, MS, she was an Accountant for Leon Lowe & Sons and a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere. Lynda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Penton and Margurite Lewis Penton; her sister, Crystal Gayle Lambert; and her brothers, James Truly Penton and Walter Holly Penton.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur Hershel Brown; her sons, George “Billy” William (Cherie) Humphries, IV, Martin Derrick Humphries, and Michael Destin (Brittany) Brown; 3 grandchildren, Justin (Maegan) Humphries, Whitney (Tyler) Johnson, and Austin Dallas Humphries; 2 great grandchildren, Dawson William Humphries, and Grayson Wayne Johnson; her sister, Teresa Hinton; the mother of Dallas, Christy Laine LaMartina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
