Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent Alfred LaVertu, Jr., age 85, of Carriere, MS, who passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April  9, 2019, will be held at a later date at St . Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of New York, NY, he was a retired Business Owner and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Vincent loved training and showing his Paso Fino Horses. He was an avid amateur inventor, and gardener. Vincent was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Alfred LaVertu, Sr. and Josephine Mileti.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Arlene Feeney LaVertu; his children, Michael (Gail) Ziegler, Desiree (David Caspole) LaVertu, Victoria Lynn LaVertu, and Traci Lynn Buchanan; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Michael Ziegler, Skylar Vincent Ziegler, Julian Wilson Caspole, and Willa Rose Caspole; and 1 great granddaughter, River Madelyn Victoria Ziegler.
