Two suspects are being sought by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department for their suspected involvement in a home invasion that included the theft of drugs.

Chief Deputy Shane Tucker said the victims reported the incident early Saturday morning at 1:13. Deputies and investigators arrived and spoke to the adult victims, who said that after she took out the trash from her apartment, located in the complex at 3199 Jackson Landing Road, two men followed her and came into her apartment as she was closing the door. A 10-year-old child was also in the home at the time of the incident.

The victim said she recognized the two suspects as 25-year-old Linzell Washington of 214 N. Haugh Ave. and 28-year-old Tommy Spires of 1110 Baylous St.

During the incident, the suspects allegedly grabbed the adult victim and bound her hands behind her back in the kitchen, before pouring bleach on her face.

Tucker said that the victim said that after they assaulted her with the bleach in the kitchen, the suspects then took her into the bathroom where they put her in a bathtub and poured more bleach on her face and body.

After the assault, the suspects stole a number of items from the home, including a firearm and a number of narcotics. Tucker said the narcotics included marijuana, along with a white powdery substance and white pills that are being sent to a lab for testing.

The suspects then fled the area and are being sought by the Sheriff’s Department.
