Funeral services for Melba Jean Richardson, 84, of Picayune who passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 4:30 p.m.  Reverend Donald Parker is the pastor.  Elder Robert Hawkins will be officiating.

Melba Jean Richardson-Walls was born July 14, 1934 in Picayune, Mississippi to the late Brady and Mary Richardson.  She attended George W. Carver High School. 

At an early age she was united in holy matrimony to the late Ezollie Walls; to this union was blessed with two children.

She was baptized at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at an early age; and remained a faithful member until her passing.  Her life occupation was a Monitor Technician for Crosby Memorial Hospital for over 45 years.

On Monday, April 22, 2019, she was called home.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Brady and Mary Richardson; her husband, Ezollie Walls, Jr.; one daughter, Regina Walls; three sisters, Mattie Jackson, Vera Reese, and Helen Broussard; two brothers, Brady Richardson, and John Richardson; and son-in-law, Robert Lee White III.

Fond memories will be cherished by two beautiful daughters, Deborah Walls, of Seattle, WA and Kimberly White, of Picayune, MS; one son, Robert Hawkins, of Picayune; three grandchildren, Colby White, Ezollie Randle, and Elicia Hawkins; sisters-in-law, Mary Richardson and Louise Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Picayune Cemetery.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
