A one-vehicle accident Monday morning on Highway 43 North in Pearl River County ended with the death of a Slidell woman.

According to a release from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. just north of BL Jackson Drive along Highway 43 North.

The woman, identified as 25-year-old Danielle A. Austin of Slidell, was south bound on the highway when for an unknown reason she lost control of the 2009 Toyota Camry she was driving, the release states.

Her vehicle left the roadway on the right side, overturned and struck a tree.

Austin was pronounced at the scene, the release states.

She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, and was the only occupant in the vehicle.
