A new business in Picayune can help residents with their insurance needs.

The business, called Premier Insurance Services, is located at 1703 Highway 11 N., Suite C and is owned and operated by Brittani Stewart.

Stewart has 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, and opened her business at the beginning of February of this year. Premier Insurance Services is an independent company that can provide rates from a number of insurance providers.

“We work with lots of companies to get the best policy for you,” Stewart said in an emailed statement.

Stewart said she opened the office with her business partners, Richard and Christian Burge, because she always wanted her own business. She employs one staff member, Courtney Cipriano, who has five years of experience working in insurance.

Stewart can help her customers find policies for home, auto, boats and ATVs. Her specialty for the past decade has been in commercial policies. She can also help people find policies for flood, renter’s insurance and drivers of 18 wheelers.

She plans to soon offer health and life insurance policies.

Stewart is licensed to provide policies in Mississippi and Louisiana, so she plans to open more offices in the area at some point.

Premier Insurance Services is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is closed on the weekend.
