Michael “Ike” Stevens

Funeral  service will be held Sat., March 16, 2019 at 4 p.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for Michael “Ike” Stevens, age 71, of Picayune, MS.

Mr. Stevens died on March 9, 2019 at his home.  Rev. Donald Parker will officiate at the service.  Burial in New Palestine Cemetery. A native of Picayune, he was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was very active in Sunday School, under the leadership of Rev. E.L. Fox, until his health failed. 

Survivors include; a son, Michael Stevens Jr., of TX; 6 daughters, Sandra Stevens, Gulfport, MS, Regina Stevens Bennett, New Orleans, LA, Paula Stevens Garrett, Maryland, Contessa Jefferson and Zulina Baskin both of Slidell, LA and La Shunda Pryor Dillon of Tylertown, MS; 2 stepdaughters, Tomiko Waller and Samitha Doucette, both of Slidell, LA; 4 sisters, Annie Stevens Means, Gladys Nixon and Louise Dantzler, all of Picayune, Lorrine Stevens McCloskeys and Joyce Hunt, both of Las Vegas, NV; 2 brothers, George Stevens Jr, Las Vegas, NV and Jimmie Stevens, Jackson, MS; 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents George and Mary Stevens; siblings, Clinton Stevens, Joseph Stevens and Shaddie Stevens.

Visitation Sat., March 16, 2019 at 3 p.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
