Funeral Services for James Bruce Nix, age 65, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, will be held Monday, March 18, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. John Clayton Kennedy will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, he was a retired Chemical Engineer at International Paper (Arizona Chemicals) and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Bruce enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren, motorcycle riding, and enjoying his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence E. Nix and Dolores Kendrick Nix; his son, James Nix; and his brothers, Johnny Nix, and Richard Dean Nix.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Tarjbee “Toby” Nix; his children, Matilda (James) Williamson, Amos (Amber) Nix, Jessie (Kayla) Nix, and Melinda Sue Phillips; 7 grandchildren, Broden, Levi, Ryder, Gunner, Lexi, Sienna Nix, and Grace Williamson; his sister, Amy (Scott) Fandal; his brother, Roger (Linda) Nix; and his sister-in-laws, Regina Nix, and Jodiy Watkins; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
