Deacon Chester I. Wilson was a native of Carriere, MS.  He was a former student of George Washington Carver High School and Pearl River Central. He was known to his friends and family as “Noonie”.  Chester retired from Federal Express in Harahan, LA. He was a faithful member of Parker Chapel MBC until he became physically unable to attend. He later joined St. Matthew MBC where they brought the church to him and he loved every moment of worship. Chester Wilson passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Slidell, LA at the age of 64.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Bouie and Gladys Wilson-Ball, and one grandchild.

He leaves to cherish his memories;  loving wife, Susie Haralson Wilson of Carriere; son, Bro. Quincy Wilson, Lithonia, GA; daughters, Talisa McCormack, Knoxville, TN and Gladys (Shawn Mitchell) Wilson, New Orleans, LA; sister, Jocelyn Robertson; brother, Anthony Robertson of New Orleans; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. Matthew MBC, 2106 Walker St., Picayune, where Pastor Michael Kelly will officiate. Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to service time. A private burial will be held immediately after the service. To conclude the Celebration, we ask that you meet us at Sun Roamers RV Resort & Clubhouse, 41 Mississippi Pines Blvd., Picayune. A CELEBRATION FOR A KING.
