Annie Marie Oliver

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Holmes Chapel United Methodist Church in Pearlington, MS, for Annie Marie Oliver of Pearlington, MS.

Annie passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the age of 86.  Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.  A native of Gainesville, MS, she was a member of Holmes Chapel U.M.C.  She accepted Christ at a early age. She loved Christ, gospel singing, people and cooking. She was known as the Candy Lady for the children at the church. 

Annie was highly regarded by those who knew her for her warm and tender motherly ways. Her favorite saying was,” I want to see my Jesus”. 

She leaves to mourn; a son, Oliver Jr. (Debra) of Lawrenceville, GA; two daughters, Shirley Thompson (Hezekiah) and Barbra Oliver (Greg), both of Pearlington; two grandsons, Hezekiah Wayne Thompson, Jr. of Pearlington and Kelvin Oliver (Antara) of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Margaret Acker of Pearlington and Pearly Mae Vince of Slidell, LA; a brother, Louis Vince of Picayune; sister-in-law Dorothy Vince of Pearlington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, George Oliver, Sr., father and mother, Leon and Eva Vince, sister Eloise Williams, brothers, Joe and Leon Vince, Jr. 

Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Holmes Chapel U.M.C. under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
