Graveside Funeral Services for Jerry Fred Sones, age 81, of Slidell, LA, formerly of Nicholson, MS, who passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 10:00 am at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Neal Davis will officiate the service.

A native of Nicholson, MS, he was retired and served in the U.S. Army during three terms in the Vietnam War as a Chief Warrant Officer. Jerry was a loving and devoted brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sones and Wilda Page Sones; and his wife, Helga Sones.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Hollis Sones and Larry Sones; his sister, Nellene Adams; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved partner in life, Irene Laff.
