Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine Jane Gremillion, age 86, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Father John Noone will officiate the service.

A native of New Orleans, LA, she was a Homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Catherine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert James Hassinger, Sr. and Alma Roberts Hassinger; her loving husband of 57 years, Benedict “Ben” Gremillion; her daughter, Mary Lorraine Gremillion; her sons, John Gremillion and Paul Gremillion; her sisters, Alma Gerringer and Emelda Leonard; and her brothers, Albert Hassinger, Jr., Lambert Hassinger, and Henry Hassinger.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Maureen (Todd) Hochman, Frances Gesell, Johanna Gremillion, Benedict (Robin) Gremillion, Jr., and Joseph (Patricia) Gremillion; 5 grandchildren, David (Rachel) Gesell, Jordan Gesell, Alan Gremillion, Marie Gremillion, and Joseph Gremillion; 2 great grandchildren, Micah Gesell and Hailey Gesell; her sisters-in-law, Rita Lemoine and Linda Gremillion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
