Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12 noon at Triumph Missionary Baptist Church for Ruthie Mae Leggett.  On Monday, October 22, 2018 God sent his angels to bring her home from the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS embraced by loving and devoted family at the age of 85.

Rev. Tommy Hart will officiate at the services. 

Ruthie Mae was born to the late Rev. Richard and Minnie Hughes on September 19, 1933 in Poplarville, MS.

She was a teacher at Torrence Family Schoolhouse and a faithful member of Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, Vice President of Mission 2, Director of  Vacation Bible School,  Sunday School Teacher and Financial Secretary of Springhill Triumph District Baptist Association Mission 2.

Ruthie leaves to cherish her memories, one loving and devoted son, Robert (Zillie) Leggett of Vicksburg, MS; four loving siblings, Willie (Nellie) Jenkins of Poplarville, MS, James (Elona) Jenkins of Slidell, LA, Nebuchadnezzar “Nack” Jenkins of Las Vegas, NV and Deserie (Alvin) Richard of Picayune, MS; two granddaughters;  five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the church.

Interment will be in the Rose Park Cemetery in Poplarville, MS.
